Walnut RV Park at 1403 Vega Boulevard, Vega, Texas.

A traditional, old time, family friendly, full-service campground. Peaceful atmosphere, yet right on Old Route 66. We sat at the proprietor's kitchen table to register. This park is run by a "retired" couple who are friendly and HAPPY to share about where they live. We arrived with the idea of just spending the night, but ended up staying three. This park is just a short drive west of Amarillo. Be sure to eat at the Big Texan Steak House for a fun atmosphere. If you're not quite up for that, an old time traditional coffee shop is located right across the street from the park. We stayed at Walnut RV Park using Passport America. Yep . . . we'll be back.
